Nature Walks (Pembrokeshire)

AMROTH
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Length: 3.0m
Grid ref: SN166072
Amroth's sand and pebble beach is famous for its drowned forest - at very low tides tree stumps can be seen poking through the sand and fossilised antlers, nuts, animal bones and Neolithic flints have been discovered. Amroth itself is a pleasant hamlet with a wonderful beach in summer.
SAUNDERSFOOT
Duration: 1 hour
Length: 2.2m, 3.52km
Grid ref: SN134045
Although today Saundersfoot is a busy and prosperous holiday resort, the town originally developed around the harbour, built to export anthracite from the local coalfield in the nineteenth century.
BOSHERSTON/St GOVAN'S
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
Length: 4.4m
Grid ref: SR962949
Located on the south-eastern side of the Castlemartin peninsula, Bosherston has become famous for its lily ponds. A great number of birds can be seen here with coot, moorhen, mute swan, heron and kingfisher in the red beds. On the coast, the many caves, arches, inlets, blow-holes and stacks are the result of wave action on the limestone cliffs and are great for sea birds
